01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Wembley, Chaiiwala offers an authentic and refreshing dive into Indian street food culture, specializing in a delightful fusion of a cafe, Indian restaurant, and tea house experience. This unique spot invites you to explore a world where aromatic traditions meet modern culinary creativity, all served up in a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

At Chaiiwala, the star attraction is undoubtedly their extensive chai selection—a fragrant, flavorful journey for the senses. Whether you’re craving the bold richness of a classic Karak Chaii, as raved about by regulars like Muhammad Munsif who praises the freshness and variety, or the invigorating notes of their innovative chai frappés, each sip promises comfort and a burst of authentic taste. Fans also love their Lemon Iced Chaii and the subtly sweet Pink Chaii Frappé, perfect companions for a lively day.

Beyond the teas, Chaiiwala’s menu dazzles with street-food marvels that are as hearty as they are tantalizing. The Butter Chicken Roll is a symphony of tender grilled chicken enveloped in soft bread, dripping with rich buttery sauce. Vegan and vegetarian palates are well served too—try the Veg Kebab Roll or the crispy Aloo Tikki Burger, both delivering vibrant spices balanced with satisfying textures.

Chaiiwala also pleases snack lovers with dishes like the Samosa Chaat, a playful assembly of crunchy samosas drenched in tangy chutneys and creamy yogurt, or the addictive Loaded Chips heaped with spiced toppings that create an irresistible medley of flavors and crunch. For a true street-food feast, don’t miss the Pani Puri Poppers, a fun and bursty tangy treat that’s a favorite amongst locals.

The atmosphere at Chaiiwala mirrors the hearty spirit of their cuisine—a cozy, hospitable space alive with the fragrant aroma of cardamom and masala chai, perfectly complemented by friendly and attentive staff. Guests like Michael Fernandes note the exceptional warmth and service, creating an environment where hospitality and quality intertwine seamlessly.

While the location beside a bustling bus stop adds an energetic urban buzz, it also reminds visitors of the café’s role as a vital, inviting pit-stop—whether for a swift morning boost, a mid-day indulgence, or a relaxed catch-up over freshly brewed chai. Breakfast lovers, as Srikanth highlights, will appreciate the quick, satisfying start to their day with Chaiiwala’s offerings.

Whether you’re a chai aficionado, a foodie eager to explore Indian street eats, or simply someone looking for a cozy nook to unwind, Chaiiwala in Wembley delivers an authentic, flavorful, and altogether delightful experience that lingers long after the last sip.

Due to the chaii's flavor and freshness, I always get my tea from Chaiiwala. There are numerous varieties of chai, so you have a lot of alternatives to select from. If you enjoy dessert, you should definitely try it. Additionally, you can sample more items from the menu, which will make your initial encounter more enjoyable. I usually drink Karak Chai, which is my favorite and has never let me down. I will undoubtedly return time and time again. In addition, Mehak and Poonam's services have drawn me back time and time again. Special thanks to Mehak and Poonam among the staff.

Enjoyed the flavourful karak chai, though opting for a large size comes with an extra 80p cost, pushing the price over £3.50. The aloo paratha is a delightful, freshly made treat served hot and customised to order. The location is somewhat peculiar, situated next to a busy bus stop, making it unclear if patrons are waiting or commuters are queueing for the bus. Unfortunately, the restroom was out of service during my visit. The store layout, being L-shaped, might inconvenience diners seated far from the till, as they have to collect their orders themselves. Additionally, the loud piercing sound of the food collection buzzer can be quite bothersome. Nevertheless, the staff are courteous and efficient, ensuring my beverage and food were both delicious and piping hot. While the total bill exceeded £6, which may seem pricey, it’s worth noting this is London, where Indian prices circa 200 rupees are a distant memory. Overall, worth giving it a try. 4 out of 5 stars.

Staff were incredibly polite and made sure to regularly check that all customers had their needs attended to. My breakfast which was shakshuka and karak chai came to just under £10 at £8.70 which I would say is great for the quality of food given. I was attended to promptly and given a machine that rang an alarm when my order was ready, very useful service as I could just wait peacefully in my seat (it did ring twice when someone else’s order was ready but I will allow this due to it seeming like a net implemented system). The shakshuka itself was perfectly spiced and the egg baked well, although I would’ve preferred the yolk not to be fully boiled but a bit runny. The karak chai had the perfect sweetness too and paired well with the spicy, rich tomato sauce and onions mixed with egg in the shakshuka. The paratha pieces were soft and were a great accompaniment. Definitely recommend and I’m glad I now have a local chaiiwala so I can visit more often and get my karak chai fix more easily than before. Thank you for the great food and incredible service, all the staff seem genuinely passionate about providing an amazing experience!

The karak chaii in Wembley branch is better than any other branch. I have tried katak chaii in few other chaiiwala branches but this one tastes better. The tables are always clean and the staff was very helpful. There are many chaii shops in Wembley but I recommend to taste chaii here as well. The toilets are closed most of the times I don't know why.
